At this time of year I always get spring fever. I wish the ugly brown snow would melt and that I could put away the snowpants and boots. But alas, I live in Canada!
To bring some spring into my life, I sewed up a new top. This is the California Dress and Peplum by EYMM*. Last week I tested the girls’ version; this week I sewed for myself!
For myself I chose to do the peplum version. The fabric is a lovely, although thin, cotton lycra jersey knit from Girl Charlee*.
Overall I am very happy with the fit, although next time I might raise the waist elastic up an inch or so. It was such a quick sew; I think I went from cutting to completion in less that an hour.
What is neat about this top is that it can be worn either way, there is no front or back. One side is scoop neck, the other is halter style.
So treat yourself! Invite spring to come! Head on over to EYMM* for both the adult and child versions.
