Recently I shared a capsule wardrobe that I sewed for my oldest daughter. And because sleeping and housework is overrated, at the same time I was sewing another capsule for my just turned 2 year old. The idea behind a capsule wardrobe is simple: create a collection of separates that all coordinate together. I am hoping this will make dressing this fall non-stressful and allow my toddler to have choice; he can’t go wrong if all the pieces match!
I started with neutrals for the bottoms and outwear (grey, denim, navy, and brown) and accented all the pieces with orange and teal. This way each top coordinates with each bottom and I don’t have to worry about clashing prints.
Jacket and shoes:
Shoes are (left to right) Stride Rite runners, Mexx loafers, and George boots, all purchased from the local thrift store.
Wow, that was a lot of pictures! I’ll be posting more about a few of the outfits in the next week!
