As a parent, I can’t imagine the difficulty people go through when they find out their child has cancer. On top of worrying for their child, many parents also worry about the financial implications of lengthy hospital stays and treatments. One of the many organizations that helps alleviate some of these concerns is the St Jude Children’s Hospital. All treatment there is given free of charge; families never receive a bill at St. Jude!
Kelly, a blogger at Handmade Boy, and an online sewing acquaintance, is participating in a run to raise money for the hospital, and she is selling the Fighter Tee pdf sewing pattern to help her reach her goal of raising $1000.
The tee is a relaxed fit, unisex shirt that features fun colour blocking along the sides. The grading was done by Tami of Love Notions, so you know you are getting a quality pattern! The pattern is only $5, and 100% of the proceeds are donated. You can purchase your copy here.
My son is super happy with his ‘monster’ shirt, although not happy enough to stop his ‘road building’ for me to take pictures 🙂
