Every year it seems my kid’s closets are overflowing, yet at the same time we struggle to find things to wear! Some years we have an overabundance of dressy clothes, other years too many tops and not enough pants…you know how it goes…
This year I’ve decided to take a more organized approach to my children’s wardrobes. It is Kid’s Clothes Week next week, and I will be committing to sewing at least one hour, every day, for a week. I don’t want my precious time and money wasted by sewing items my children don’t actually need.
So I sat down and made a list of all the items I thought were essential to a school child’s wardrobe. I then added a column to mark down if we already owned it/if I was going to buy it/if I wanted to sew it. Now I have a clear plan of what I need to sew, as well as a very handy checklist when it comes time to go shopping!
I’d love to help you get organized, so I’m sharing this free printable with all my amazing readers!
There are two versions in the same file, one for boys and one for girls.
I realize that everyone’s needs are different (this list is probably not suitable for a warm climate) but at least it will give you a starting place to create your own!
Enjoy and come back to see what I’ve sewn up all next week!
