The talented Elsa Marley is hosted her biannual Kid Clothes Week Challenge. The challenge is simple: sew for at least one hour a day for a week straight.
I’ve lurked for the last few seasons but this time decided to jump right in! Those who know me may say, “But wait, don’t you work!”. Yes I do, but my kids go to bed at 7:00 and my husband doesn’t come in from the barn until 8:00. That makes for one magical hour of uninterrupted sewing!
My sewing plans include a summer sundress for Esther, and some t-shirts and shorts for Kara. I’m also hoping to create a mini tutorial on adding appliques to knits since it is a bit trickier than applique on wovens.
Here is an example of a shirt I’ve done recently for my nephew:
So are you in?
