Today marks an exciting milestone for my blog; it’s been exactly a year since I restarted it all because of Kid’s Clothes Week! I love this event, and am excited to be sewing along again this season.
For day 1 and 2 I make a vintage inspired outfit for my little guy.
The shirt is the Streamline Tee by Terra’s Treasures. This is my second version (you can see the first one here) and once again I’m happy with the fit. I used the size 18-24 months even though it is slightly big, because I wanted him to be able to wear it for a while.
The red of the sleeves is cotton lycra and the white is an upcycled 3XL men’s tee I found at the thrift store. I used the original hem of the shirt so it saved me a step as well!
The design on the front was created with my Silhouette Cameo and heat transfer vinyl. I purchased the truck shape from the design store, and came up with the hearts and the words myself. This is my first heat transfer vinyl project and I’m super happy with how it turned out!
For the pants I used my Lazy Days Lounge Pants pattern. He is still too small for the 2T, so I took a bit out of the width. I didn’t shorten, so they are a bit long, but the cuffs keep them up and hopefully he’ll be able to wear them for a few months!
