I have a confession to make…I don’t actually love quilting…I love the look and feel of a finished quilt, but I just don’t have the patience to deal with all the fiddly seams and tiny pieces.
But…one of my sisters in law has been recently blessed with a precious little girl and I wanted to make her something special. As well, last week I was lucky enough to attend a quilting retreat with an amazing group of local talented ladies. Ok, so I went more for the company, good food, prizes, and ‘me time’ than the actual quilting, but I found myself enjoying the process after all!
The pattern I chose came in a kit that I purchased from the local quilt shop. I love how this pattern is simple, modern, and is a great way to show off these fun prints.
My free motion quilting is getting better too; this time I even dare to show you the back!
I think I may be ‘quilted out’ for a while, but I’m so happy with the finished project and hope my niece likes it too!
