During the month of February Project Run and Play is holding a fun competition involves taking the Mademoiselle Muscle Tank pattern and remixing it into something different.
I choose to turn this tank top pattern into a summer romper for my daughter.
My romper features snaps at the shoulders, bound neckline and armholes, as well as a contrast casing for a waist tie and two leg ties that pull up the sides to add some more flare.
I’m going to be honest with you; the fit needs some tweaking. I sewed this up while my daughter was at school and guessed at her torso length, but it turned out a bit long. Also, I didn’t add enough seam/placket allowance at the shoulders and the armholes are on the smaller side. Oh well, she will wear it anyways and I already have a second one planned!
