I have the pleasure of being part of the Betty Group, a small group of new designers who support and encourage each other. You can learn more about the designers who are members in the Betty’s Basket facebook group. A number of designers have decided to swap patterns, and I am excited to be a part of it!
This is a classic jumper, but with a fun twist. The buttons at the front waist are functional, and you can use them to put on/off the jumper, although my daughter is able to slip it over her head no problem.
I did to a slight modification…we’ll call this a happy mistake! I by accident cut the waist band piece on the fold (instead of a single piece) so my waistband was double the length it was supposed to be. The pattern is drafted to have the waistband ends buttoned in the back, but mine were much too long so I was able to tie them like a sash.
The fabric I used was a stretch denim that has a sparkly silver thread running through it. The contrast is a quilting cotton I bought locally.
To complete the outfit, I paired them with some tuxedo stripe leggings. You can find the tutorial, and link to the FREE pattern, here!
I encourage you to check out the rest of the talented designers!
