When I first began drafting patterns a few years ago, there were a few people that supported and tested for me despite being new to the pdf sewing world. One of of these people is the very talented Gemia. Not only has she been a great help and encouragement to me, you can also find her running her fabric shop, Phat Quarters, and recently she has teamed up with a couple other designers and opened the Petite Stitchery Pattern Shop. I wanted to repay a little of the help she’s given me and it gives me great pleasure to sew up one of her patterns: the Rosemary Cowl Crop Sweater.
What drew me to this pattern was the innovative style; I’ve never seen a pattern for an top quite like this. The sweater is fully lined and features two lengths (I did the cropped length), a hi lo hem, two sleeve lengths (mine are the 3/4), and 3 cowl options. I sewed up the split cowl option and love it it is finished with two large decorative buttons. The fabric I used is a Paapii organic jersey knit, lined with black cotton lycra.
