I had the pleasure of testing the Lotus Blossom Shrug for Rabbit Rabbit Creations.
The Lotus Blossom Shrug is a versatile pattern that includes long, short, and puffed sleeves, as well as plain and ruffled edge. It also has an incredible range of sizes, from wee little girl to women’s plus.
My daughter has several adorable tank tops, but sadly northern Canadian weather isn’t so conducive to bare shoulders, so a shrug is a very useful wardrobe staple.
I used some thin pink cotton lycra that I’ve had in my stash for a while.
My daughter is thrilled with the result and loves the puffed sleeves and ruffles. It is an excellent fit and I’m sure she will wear it a lot this summer.
I like the design so much, that today I bought some deep eggplant coloured fabric to make one for myself, though I am not a ruffly type of gal so mine will be a bit plainer. I can’t wait to sew it up and share it with you all!
Don’t forget to come back Monday for the release of my second sewing pattern: the Starfish Shorts. My blog will be going on a tour to several of my testers’ blogs to see what they did with the pattern.
Thanks for stopping by!
