The first week’s theme for Project Run and Play is “Put me in the zoo”. This theme is very fitting for our second daughter; she has spunk and a ‘wild side’ and we are always threatening to put her in the zoo!
Her favourite animal has always been a cat. The inspiration: MEOW, all things feline!

The drop waist tunic is based on Ottobre 3/2012 #14 Hoops T-Shirt. I added a gathered peplum to the bottom of the shirt to create a drop waist tunic. The fabric is a leopard inspired poly-cotton jersey knit that had a bit of a sparkle woven into it.
The simple jersey knit leggings are based on Ottobre 4/2012 #15 Hopsis Leggings. The only change was to skip the gathered tab and add some cute pink buttons.
The star of the outfit is the faux fur vest. This design is self drafted and completely lined with a cotton fabric. A grosgrain ribbon adds some drama and keeps the vest closed without buttons or zipper.

My gorgeous model is quite please; Project Run and Play is already a success!
To end this already lengthy post, head over to Project Run and Play to see what the other participants have designed.
