Normally I don’t immediately think of the thrift store when I want to go fabric shopping, but this week’s trip was an exception. I was able to pick up all of these for an astonishing $9!
Included in the is pile is 3 yards of lovely cotton lycra (2 in tan, 1 in navy), a pattern, and 4 cards of bias binding.
I hesitate to call this pattern vintage, since it was printed the year I was born, but I suppose ‘well-aged’ would not be a misnomer!
The bias trip is great too, especially the oldest in a beautiful coral colour. One thing that does tick me off a bit is that I paid almost 4 times the original price for that one, but still cheaper than buying new I suppose.
Have you had any fantastic thrift store sewing finds?
